Gibson is 6 months old

Well my baby is half a year old...Everyone tells you how fast they grow up, but I never realized its seems to be a blink of the eye. I'm trying with all my might to savor each and every moment, to soak in every milestone he hits and how sweet it is to rock him to sleep at night. Because I know before I know what hit me he will be a little tornado running everywhere and won't have the time to sit in momma's lap and just hang out.

Gibson has arrived!!

Gibson made his entrance into the world on January 7th at 10:26pm. I went into the hospital at 7:30am to be induced, got hooked up with the pitocin by 8:30 and the Dr. came to break my water by 9:30. My contractions started getting uncomfortable, so I decided to get my epidural at 1:00, after that I just got really tired and wanted to sleep. Things went pretty slowly until 9:30pm I started feeling some pressure and the nurse said I was a 9 and should be able to start pushing by 10:00 or so. Shortly later the nurse had me do a "practice push" and Gibson's heart rate dropped dramatically, next thing I know there were 4 nurses in the room trying to get me in different positions to get his heart rate back up. The Doctor got there and decided that he was just not going to be delivered vaginally, so they rushed me to the O.R for an emergency C-section, poor Chris was running down the hall trying to put scrubs on. Within 5 minutes of us getting in the O.R Gibson made his debut. He weighed 7 lbs 14oz and was 21 inches (nice size cone head though).

Shower

I had my baby shower this past weekend, and had so much fun with everyone. Gibson got hooked up on all kinds of things. I loved the table that Debi set up, she has such an eye for these kind of things.
It was so nice to have my family in town this weekend. I love having our house full of people, I wish we could do it more often. I think the dogs are getting used to having people over(slowly but surely).

The nursey is finished!!!!

Wow, this past week has been a whirl wind. I just about killed my husband by having him complete the nursery in four days...sorry babe(love you)

It took me a month to decide on what stripes to do the wall, I am really pleased on how the color came out!!!! Chris did such a good job on the stripes.

Gibson update

I can't believe I am already 8 months pregnant, it seems like just yesterday I called Chris into the bathroom asking him if he saw the same faint line I did. I've had a pretty easy pregnancy so far, morning sickness wasn't much to talk about and my blood pressure has been doing really well. Lets just hope that stays the same in the coming weeks. I had an ultrasound appointment yesterday with my high risk doc, and we were finally able to get some decent pictures of Gibson's face (I'm going to need to post them soon). He is already head down and I guess just preparing to make his entrance into the world. The doctor said he is about 4lbs 11ozs give or take an ounce or so, I about freaked out when I heard that thinking I'm going to have a 13 pounder on my hands come January but after talking with some people I guess that sounds normal. Now I need to start focusing on the nursery and getting Chris to put together some of the furniture we have so I can get to organizing (I think the nesting phase is setting in), the weeks and days are ticking down faster and faster it seems. Hope to post some pictures soon.
